IN THIS CITY

In this city " The Holy Cow " , there are some people in Bhopal who do a very interesting kind of work. The work I'm talking about is done by women too. Every day with some cows and some fodder she comes near the temple. And

then she sits here to sell green grass because it is believed that the cow is holy and feeding her is sanctified, Devotees buy the fodder from the women and feed the cows. Now if you think closely, then the lady's work is fantastic business model. All the cows belong to her, she owns the fodder, and essentially it is her responsibility to feed the cows. But she is making others do her household chore... and on top of that she is earning an income out of all this. Not just that, she is also benefit from the milk of cows. All in all with tremendous tact, she has successfully turned a daily chore...into an income generating model. It's not that she is playing with the sentiments of devotees. People are ready to buy fodder from her to feed the cows because in a metropolis like Bhopal (India), they want to indulge in pious tokenism as an escape valve. People are happy with the deeds, and she with the money. It's mutual benefits!
